The Tikki Moon is suitable for both thin and wide ankles. Barefoot MOON boots are suitable for both high and medium instep.

Care of Tikki shoes and sandals

With a few exceptions, Tikki Shoes items are made entirely of genuine leather and should be cared for in the same way that leather footwear is normally cared for:

1. Do not put shoes in the washing machine. Due to the relatively long washing cycles, which usually last more than an hour, the leather is immersed in water for an excessive amount of time, which can lead to scaling and shrinkage after drying. In addition, being in contact with water increases the possibility of color transfer. Only a leather care product should be used to clean Tikki shoes.

2. When the velvet leather sole of indoor shoes gets dirty or greasy, the fine velvet leather hairs stick together and stop sticking to the floor, it needs to be cleaned regularly. You should only clean them when you see the shoes slipping on the floor.

In this situation, a damp cloth or baby wipes should be used, as well as a stiff bristle brush (e.g. nail brush, barbecue brush, etc.). Wipe the sole with a damp towel or wet wipe (do not rinse the soles with water as this may cause color transfer), allow to dry, and then scrub the sole with the brush until the fine hairs of the velvety leather stand up again.

3. Only a leather care product should be used to clean the leather on the sides of baby shoes/outdoor shoes/sandals/boots.

4. Drying should be done gently and only at room temperature; do not dry footwear near heat sources (radiator, stove, fan, fire, hair dryer or other heat sources, or by exposing footwear to direct sunlight), as this may harden the leather and cause scaling on its surface.

5. Avoid using bleach, detergents or solvent-based products to clean barefoot footwear.

6. All vegan models can be cleaned with wet wipes or a damp cloth.

Only a special leather care product can be used to clean nappa leather and velvet shoes.

7. Since outdoor footwear is not waterproof, it is recommended that it be worn only in dry weather. Water, snow, sand, gravel, solvents, tar, soft bitumen or other caustic compounds should not come into contact with the sole or sides of outdoor footwear. Avoid tripping over sharp metal objects, stones, glass fragments, lubricants, fuel and thinners. Damage caused by poor road, trail or pavement conditions, as well as use of footwear on other rough, abrasive or corrosive surfaces, is not covered under warranty.
